Evidence-based Strategies for Reducing Plastic Waste in Indonesia

ree

Discover insights on addressing plastic pollution from Indonesia in the Systems Analysis Approach to Reduce Plastic Waste in Indonesian Societies (PISCES) project report, the Evidence-based Strategies for Reducing Plastic Waste in Indonesia. SMARTS Center was engaged in finding the cost of action and inaction. Through Indonesia’s National Action Plan, PISCES recommend a systemic and locally driven change by a circular economy framework with the use of CVORR (Complex Value Optimisation for Resource Recovery) to track the flow of plastic, money, people, habits, and policies; an improved and inclusive EPR, integrated behaviour change and a national Monitoring, Reporting and Verification system to monitor plastic-related risks. Find 26 evidence-based policy recommendations and much more in the report.
