International Research Community for Strategic Emissions Reduction in Asia (SERA)

SMARTS Center, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), participated in the SERA project meeting, held on 13-14 July 2026 at the ERIA Headquarters in Jakarta, Indonesia.

SERA’s mission is to analyze and communicate cost-effective emissions reduction strategies tailored to Asia. To support this goal, SERA has been building a collaborative research network of leading international researchers, research institutes, and universities across the regions of South Asia, East Asia, and Southeast Asia.

Prof. Joyashree Roy, Distinguished Professor and Director of the SMARTS Center, AIT, and Co-Chair of the SERA Steering Group, with postdoctoral researchers Dr. Firuz A Nahid and Dr. Abhishek Das, actively participated and presented their research.
