ABOUT US
In 2018, the "Bangabandhu Chair" Professor and Doctoral Research has been endowed to the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand by the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh in honour of the Father of the Nation of Bangladesh Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Research
Growth Aspiration
"In 2015 Bangladesh leaving behind the status of a least developed country crossed the bar and entered into the Lower Middle-Income Country group. The country aspires to achieve the developed country status by 2041. "

Sustainable Energy Sector
"It is undeniable that fundamental need is to make the energy sector sustainable, secure and disaster resilient as it holds the lifeline of economic and social growth within planetary boundaries. One intrinsic challenge of energy for development in the context of Bangladesh is how to meet the increasing demand for energy services and under what fuel mix. "
