The Atlantic has published an article on "Bangladesh Really Is a Climate Success Story" authored by Bangabandhu Chair Professor Joyashree Roy on 9th October, 2021.

The article represents the success story of Bangladesh in combating and mitigating the climate change disasters despite of having a high population density and low elevation which makes the country distinctly vulnerable to rising sea levels and natural hazards such as cyclones, pointing out the fact that the narrative of Bangladesh as a climate victim in waiting is almost entirely misinformed.
"The country shows the power of self-determination when it comes to development and climate policy.", writes Prof. Roy in the article.
