The Juice Movies conducted a Virtual Screening and Watch Party - 'How Electricity Explains the World' on Friday, 30th July 2021. The event streamlined the film 'How Electricity Explains the World' produced by Juice, with pausing a couple times at key moments to have short discussions and Q&A about what has been shown during each clipping. Bangabandhu Chair Professor Joyashree Roy was Invited as a panelist for the special Q & A session and the short discussions.

'How Electricity Explains the World' by Juice is a highly insightful documentary showcasing the human story of electricity; explaining why power equals power - the disparity between the electricity access by rich and the poor. The film depicts the realities and relationships between, energy poverty, gender justice, and climate justice. Taking us to the rural Beirut, Reykjavik, Kolkata, San Juan, Manhattan, and Boulder the film explains who has electricity, who’s getting it, and how developing countries all over the world are working to bring their people out of the dark and into the light.
